Reggie Bush Scandal Causes Him to Lose Heisman Trophy

Reggie Bush, the New Orleans Saints running back, will be having his Heisman Trophy stripped by the end of the month. It seems that the Heisman Trophy Trust in its investigations on the NCAA violations has reached the same conclusions as the NCAA. They have taken this decision, and they seem prepared to move forward with it and strip his award leaving him without any respect.

Reggie Bush will be the first player to ever have this prestigious trophy stripped from a player in the entire history of this award. The award has existed for 75 years, so that’s no little accomplishment. However, it is an accomplishment that I doubt Bush is proud of.

The Reggie Bush scandal revealed that the New Orleans player had revieved gifts and benefits while he had been playing with the Trojans. This had been in clear violation of the NCAA rules. Bush was ruled ineligible for season 2005, and the USC revieved a number of sanctions.

You might think that the 2005 Heisman Trophy would go to the runner-up, Vince Young, however, it seems not, according to the information recieved. The season will be declared vacant, and the trophy will go to no one.
