Amy Locane, "Melrose Place" Actress, Charged with Vehicular Homicide

Somerville, NJ (CBS / AP) Former Melrose Place actress Amy Locane is held on a bond $ 50,000 after police say she collided with another car while driving drunk, killing the passenger and the driver seriously injured.
And, according to Somerset County Deputy Prosecutor A. Peter DeMarco Jr., the fatal accident was not her first of the night.
Police say Locane-Bovenizer, who changed her name after marrying in 2008, was drunk driving Sunday night when her SUV hit the passenger side of a sedan as it was turning into a driveway in Montgomery Township, NJ, about 10 miles north Princeton. The driver, Fred Seeman, was in critical condition in hospital, and his wife Helene died at the scene.
DeMarco said responding officers smelled alcohol and reported that the Melrose Place "actress's eyes were bloodshot and glassy and her speech was unclear. She was arrested and taken to University Medical Center at Princeton, where her blood was tested, according to the New Jersey Star -Ledger.
A witness told police that just before the incident-Locane Bovenizer was involved in a hit-and-run in Princeton. That witness told police that the "Cry Baby" actress rear ended a car at an intersection a few miles from the Princeton fatal crash site. The witness said that when she tried to call police, Locane Bovenizer-back in her SUV and drove away, the Star-Ledger reported.
The other driver followed her told police she was "evasive and knocking down several mailboxes" before the fatal crash.
Locane-Bovenizer would be admitted to the police Sunday night after she had downed several glasses of wine before driving, according to the paper.
Locane-Bovenizer, who has two young children with her husband Mark, a wine specialist, is now facing charges of murder and assault vehicles per car. She could be at least 10 years in prison if convicted.
